Canadian Film Industry Shows Interest in Se7en South

At a recent Se7en South post production party held at the Mt Airy Resort and Casino (http://www.mountairycasino.com/), Kevin McGroaty told guests that he was extremely pleased with the results of a 3 week work session with George Stuscavage at fellow band member, James Frushon's Savannah, Georgia studio.

This opportunity all came from our second CD, Alblumo Duo and was picked up as a demo by the undisclosed Canadian film production company based in Toronto, specializing in "made for TV movies." We received a telephone call in January asking us if we would be interested in producing 2 or possibly 3 original pieces for consideration.

"It is an honor to be considered" said Stuscavage, lead guitarist for the band.

The band's second CD is produced by Socially Awkward Schoolgirl's Records and is distributed by CDbaby.com has received some international interest with sales in Canada and Europe.

Paper Package

Paper Package is a Se7en South lullaby featuring Kevin McGroarty on vocals. This 22nd track on Se7en South Alblumo Duo CD allows the listener to reach its own conclusion on this paper package...could it be a brown package image, making a trip to the new england winter with images of clipart of crowds of people? Hmmmm!

Almighty

Almighty is another remix off the first alblum of Se7en South Alblumo Uno. It has nothing to do with the save my soul african movie beyonce. Rather, the vocals of Kevin McGroarty ask to save my soul and spare me from the devil's gold. It's a time of reflection within...my soul finds rest in you..."you" can be whatever spiritual entity one wants...this song provides the words of spiritual encouragement and devine heart spirital healing. Give a listen to soothing sounds on the 21st track of Se7en South Alblumo Duo.

Queen Nine

The British are coming, the British are coming!!! The vocals of Kevin McGroarty on the 19th track of Se7en South Alblumo Duo CD provides a history lesson, with a twist, of the dexter British Invasion subtitle. Queen Mary of Scots biography provides a tale of Queen Mary of England who cruised on a Queen Mary haunted ship and spoke of ghosts aboard the Queen Mary and how Queen Mary can make frozen lemonade. The boys in the band openly admit they tried to sound like "George Martin"...but think it's an excellent rip. Have a listen...you will be pleasantly surprised.

Tomato Whoopie at the green tomato festival juliette

Kevin McGroarty's parady of loving the tomato growing process on Se7en South's Alblumo Duo CD has, by far, the best tomatoes growing tips. From a little rain, a little earth, a little seed, a sunshine burst all of which can lead to the best growing fall tomatoes, especially russian red tomatoes. It doesn't matter if the harvest is from an outdoor tomato garden, indoor tomato garden or container growing tomatoes, the fresh and sweet tomatoes can be used to make homemade tomato soup, used in whoopie pie recipes or made into homemade sauce for the big tomato pizza co. I can only say it's...just like magic on a vine!

Kentucky Diva who likes Moonshine

Se7en South Alblumo Duo features vocals by Kevin McGroarty and some mean violin playin' by Kyle Hiedacavage on the third track entitled Kentucky Diva, a goddess-like woman who likes the home-finger-lickin goodness of kentucky moonshine. The seven herbs and spices is very similar to those used in kentucky fried chicken that is eaten by many a vistor to kentucky state parks. The endangered species in kentucky learn to make moonshine at an early age using grandpa's easy moonshine recipe especially his favorite moonshine mash recipe. Many of the university of kentucky cheerleaders and the university of kentucky football team have many stories of wild off campus moonshine parties. For proof of the good times just visit the somerset kentucky gallery.

Gas Pumping Girl

Gas Pumping Girl is the second song on the Alblumo Duo of the Se7en South band and was brought out of the Se7en South archives originally recorded in 1997. When listening to the vocals delivered by Kevin McGroarty, many people would probably envision a photo of naked girl at chevron gas station pumping gas; when, in fact, it is actually a story of a motorcyclist who watches from his rear view mirror the filling station vanish where his heart has stayed swooning over an angel pumping gas (female mechanic) or generally, people pumping gas. Not to be confused with female gas pedal pumping or plain ole gas pedal pumping. However, the motorcyclist has received many tips on pumping gas, the most important of which is the danger pumping gas with cell phone.

From The Se7en South History Books

Based out of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, SE7EN SOUTH Formed in 1996 with original line up of Nick "the Captain" Prokopchak (percussion), Mark Bodgin (guitar), Kevin McGroarty (guitar/vocals), James Frushon (keyboards) From 1997-98, the band opened for such acts as The Groundhogs, Beetle Juice (both of Howard Stern Fame), and Magic Mickey and the Manooka Horns. Following the departure of Bodgin on guitar, George Stuscavage (former guitarist of the Barloards) joined and appears on the first album: Alblumo Uno. In 2005, SE7EN SOUTH performed St. Patrick’s Night at Patte’s Sports Bar in Wilkes- Barre, featured west-coast famed female vocalist/guitarist and friend E.B. Nickels. The event had patrons dancing on booth table tops, as well as benches. Damages exceeded adult beverage sales and the band was black listed in area entertainment. "BitterSweet." was the band’s only public statement. Released in 2006, Alblumo Uno first’s radio single Jane Adonizio featured studio assistance by bassist David Cupano. A tributet the local area newscaster and journalist. The single cut "Mr. Jesus" was adopted by Oasis Records and added to the manufacturers compilation disc and distributed by Oasis. Turning to the studio, scheduling for the second album (Alblumo Duo) conflicted with touring dates of percussionist Nick "the Captain" Prokopchack who was booked with a progressive ambient band thru India and South Korea. "Pepper" Watkins, studio musician, sat in for percusion on Alblumo Duo ( January 2007) . The avenue of country flavor was introduced on the new album and debuts 17 year old-violinist Kyle Hiedacavage on three tracks Wyoming, Judy Zee, and Kentucky Diva. Diva has gained attention of the manufacturing partner is scheduled for an Oasis Records compilation release in early 2008. NEW Album features 60 second PSA ON LINE PREDATOR AWARENESS

SE7EN SOUTH, a northeast Pennsylvania studio band has released their second album titled : Alblumo Duo "Harmless Little Radio Waves". The 21 track cd features a wide range of music for all ages. From local tounge in cheek (a band signature) to blues, swing, as well as ballads, this CD flows like the spin of a radio dial and is full of variety. Included in this format is a PSA, which the band takes very seriously. The 60 second PSA draws attention to the importance of parental guidance for kids on the internet. "It was the tragic Megan Meier’s story that shook all of us to the core as to what the cyber world is capable of, and awareness was the only thing we had in our arsenal. Megan Meier tragically took her life after being targeted by cyber slander and a neighbor in a vicious hoax." McGroarty added. " We wrote and produced it then built the radio CD around it. We are hopeful every radio station will find a hole in their schedule to run it, and often," SE7EN SOUTH band member Kevin McGroarty stated. "Our mission was to create a variety album that any traditional or web radio station might find something to fit their catagory, but the PSA is something we hope every single one will utilize.
"We wanted to raise awareness to every demographic, the PSA "I’m Falling" features band member George Stuscavage’s daughter singing lyrics, and delivers the message in a thought provoking manner." McGroarty added.
The band SE7EN SOUTH originates from the Wilkes-Barre Area, and includes members James Frushon, Savannah, Georgia, George Stuscavage and Kevin McGroarty both from the Wyoming Valley located in the northeast of Pennsylvania. "Pepper" Watkins , Lehigh Valley, appears on the album courtesy of Socially Awkward School Records and is distributed by CDbaby.com
